John Benoît-Vourlat (1731-1792) was one of the Jesuits who were killed when the French Revolution turned into a rabid anti-Catholic persecution. Father Benoît-Vourlat, well known as a spiritual director. He served as chaplain to the sisters of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and was living in the community with the Eudists when he was arrested.
