René Andrieux (1742-1792) was one of the Jesuits who were killed when the French Revolution turned into a rabid anti-Catholic persecution. Father Andrieux entered the Society of Jesus just one year before it was suppressed. He finished his studies and joined a community of priests known as the Community of St. Nicholas du Chardonnet; eventually he became superior general of the group and was at their seminary when he was arrested.
