Jesus, who himself communicated his Father’s message through parables, miracles and acts of compassion, must be our model

Media & Communications

From the early times, Jesuits have seen the potential for communications in spreading the Word of God and our Jesuit documents affirm the importance of communications:

Jesuits today are called to understand the changes that are occurring (...): the proliferation of electronic media and the so–called information revolution, as well as the new ways of learning and knowing that accompany them.

Today, we cannot imagine life without the presence of internet and the social media. They are an important element of life especially for young people. The Society of Jesus engages media and communications in a way that captures the imagination, invites reflection and response, shows social concern, stimulates personal growth, and fosters community, spirituality, and religious sensibility. Our goal is to illuminate the human experience so that people may come to a deeper understanding of themselves and of the world. Thus, we believe in engaging with greater confidence and insight into the joys and struggles of human life. Jesus himself is our model:

Jesus, who himself communicated his Father's message through parables, miracles and acts of compassion, must be our model.
