Fr Jean Denis Saint Félix, Superior of the Jesuits in Haiti, shared his experience of the situation in an online conversation with Father General’s Council on Tuesday 12 March. He noted the resilience of his fellow Jesuits and their desire to serve the people of Haiti.

The Society of Jesus has been repeatedly attacked by the Sandinista government of Daniel Ortega, particularly since the mass demonstrations of May 2018. After 10 August 2023, the attacks and expropriations have been even worse.
