The longest bridge – the most durable links

The Ricci Institute of Macau
Watch this short video. It will help you to understand the work of building bridges between eras, cultures and peoples. This is the mission of the Ricci Institute in Macau. Four international research centres of the Society of Jesus bear Ricci’s name: in Paris, Taipei, San Francisco and Macau. Macau is a former Portuguese trading post. During his recent visit to this Chinese territory, Fr. Arturo Sosa visited the Ricci Institute there. He was able to appreciate the importance of the research work done at the Institute to nourish the memory of the historical relations between West and East. The missionaries, and especially Matteo Ricci in China, set these relationships in place from the 16th century onward.
