Q&A with Father General: How can you deal with so much work?
Father Arturo Sosa, Superior General of the Jesuits, explains that his task, at the universal level, is only possible because it is a team effort.
Receiving, day after day, correspondence from all over the world, questions or concerns from Provincial Superiors, requests for information on the Society’s ways of proceeding, all of this requires time and attention. Sometimes it concerns problems faced by a particular Jesuit, or the fate of an institution that is in crisis. Father General cannot know everything and he must not decide alone. That is why he works with some twelve very close collaborators who, each in his own way and based on his experience, help him to discern God’s will for the good of the universal mission of the Society of Jesus.
