A Jesuit background for the official song of the papal visit to Hungary

The musical song Camino - Christ, you are my future has been selected as the official song of Pope Francis’ visit to Hungary, from the 28th to the 30th of April. It was written by well-known Hungarian artists and just released in a video clip format and symphonic version.

The song is part of a stage musical, Ignatius, Knight of Souls, produced by the Jesuit High School students of Miskolc. The authors and performers, offering this song for the pope’s visit, are joining the call of Pope Francis who asked all people of goodwill to promote peace.

The lyrics reflects perseverance and victory over darkness, in reference to the hazardous pilgrimage of St Ignatius.

My feet are muddy; my back is wet; and thunder chases me. But fears are fading clouds and I’ve crushed the pain by might, in this lunatic true-epic, angelic-demonic fight for Light.

Watch it here with English subtitles.
