In Nepal, Father General saw more than the Himalayas…

At the end of February, it was Nepal's turn to host the meeting of the Jesuit Conference of South Asia (JCSA). It was an opportunity for the Region to show Father General various works of educational and social apostolates of the Jesuits in that country. Father Sosa understood that one of the important priorities of the Region in recent years has been to offer pastoral and social services beyond the confines of the capital city, Kathmandu. He was told about the Jesuit commitments to the tribal peoples in the hills after the earthquake of 2015. He also went to Jhapa, in the far east of the country; over there, schoolchildren and members of a very lively Christian community welcomed him showcasing the rich cultural traditions of the region.

We have already published several articles on Father General's visit to Nepal. Today we offer you a summary of this visit in images and music. Take a few minutes to connect, in thought and prayer, with the Jesuits of Nepal; click here.
