The light amidst the ruins of Homs – Jesuits at the frontiers

For most of the world, Syria has become a synonym for war, violence, and death. The jihadists’ murder of Fr. Frans van der Lugt SJ in 2014, is just one example of the horror experienced by Syrian citizens. But despite everything, the Jesuits never left Syria. The life of the Catholic community in Homs is only possible thanks to the brave spirit of Jesuit priests, Vincent de Beaucoudrey and Tony Homsy.

Watch the second episode of the video series ‘Jesuits at the Frontiers’, in which we tell the stories of Jesuits and partners in mission who accompany the most vulnerable societies, groups and individuals, on literal or metaphorical frontiers. Discover the stories of the mission for reconciliation, peace, and hope.
