The International Association of Jesuit Universities launches a new website
The new website, promoted by the Secretariat for Higher Education, seeks to provide a space where news, programs and institutions that are part of the Association, can be made known both within the network and with actors in the field of international higher education. No doubt, it is also a way to highlight inspiring projects that are seeds of hope for the world.
Founded in 2018, the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU) is recognized as the international advisory and coordinating body to the Secretariat for Higher Education of the Society of Jesus and, through it, to Father General and his Assistants in matters related to higher education and the intellectual apostolate.
A complete map and listing of all Jesuit higher
education institutions worldwide is available on the new website. The documents
and resources section has been improved and complemented with new resources
such as videos and direct access to the “best practices” section.
On the new website all collaborative programs are organized in relation to the priorities of the Association. We encourage you to visit the website if you are interested in any of these topics, and to share your comments and ideas:
• Higher Education for the Excluded
• Fostering Civic and Political Leaders
• Economic and Environmental Justice
• Reimagining Business Education
• Formation of Lay & Jesuit Leadership
• Ignatian Spirituality & Discernment
• Interfaith Dialogue
• Peace and Reconciliation
• Promotion of Democracy
We end this article with an eye to the future. The new website already announces the next International Assembly, which will be held at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia from 30 June to 1 July 2025, and will be an important milestone in advancing the shared mission that Jesuit institutions of higher education carry out.
Stay tuned for more news.
