Journeying with Youth

The Society of Jesus has been developing a specific programme for Thai seminarians and members of religious congregations in Thailand for the past five years. This is the Xavier Immersion Program. We interviewed its academic director, the Jesuit Tom Michel.

Pham Ngo Hoang Dung, known to all as Dzung, is a young Vietnamese Jesuit priest who committed himself to the Region of Thailand. We met him at the Seven Fountains Spiritual Centre and asked him what brought him to Thailand.

The Society of Jesus has a dream to reach out to accompany, to join in the adventure of discovering God today. Our dream is that young people feel ‘cura personalis’, feel ‘minded’, in a world that is so often impersonal.

The Portugal Province is known for its ministry with the youth. With over 1000 young people in the university centres, the youth apostolate sets an example in executing the third Universal Apostolic Preference practices.

Congratulations to the winners of the “Four Dreams” film competition organized by the IAJU and the General Curia of the Society of Jesus! This time, the prize is related to the 3rd UAP, accompany young people in the creation of a hope-filled future.

The meeting’s aim is to broaden the horizons of the participants and strengthen an international network of young people who contribute to a real cultural change in environmental and social matters.
