Appointment by Father General: new Provincial of Pune (India)
Father General has appointed Fr. Agnelo Mascarenhas (GOA), 54 years old, as the new Provincial of the Pune Province. Agnelo Mascarenhas is presently superior of the Jesuit community at Pedro Arrupe Institute and active in accompanying the youth, in Raia (Goa Archdiocese). He is well known for having been the Sub-Secretary of the Society (2013-2019); as such, he contributed greatly to the modernization of the digital work of the General Curia. He will take office on 8 December 2020.
