6 August, a date not to be forgotten

It was 1945: an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. A sad moment in contemporary history that should be commemorated every year. The Jesuits have an additional reason to remember this event because their former Superior General, Fr Pedro Arrupe, was right there.

Two years ago, when Fr Arturo Sosa was in Hiroshima, we published two articles; we invite you to read or re-read them.

Hiroshima – Pedro Arrupe and his “apostolic energy”

“The figure of Father Arrupe for the Jesuits” – Homily in Hiroshima, August 2, 2019
