Fr. Kwon Oh-chang Simon, new Delegate for Cambodia

In a press release dated 8 February, the President of the Jesuit Conference of Asia-Pacific (JCAP), Fr. Antonio Moreno, announces that Father General has appointed Fr. Kwon Oh-chang as the new Delegate for the Cambodia Mission (attached to the Korean Province). He replaces Fr. Oh In-don who has been in office since 2013 and will take up his post on 1 April 2022.

Fr. Kwon (53) joined the Society in 2003. He went to Cambodia first for his regency at the Vocational Training Centre for the Disabled. He was ordained as a priest in 2013. Returning to Cambodia in 2014, he has taken on various functions, in particular those of Director of Vocation Promotion and Jesuit candidates.

The Cambodia Mission is faced with immense challenges, and yet the Society finds consolation in the gradual growth of its young members and ministries.
