Fr General welcomes new rector at Universidad Pontificia Comillas
The Universidad Pontificia Comillas began its 2024-2025 academic year on 4 September 2024 in a special ceremony during which Father General, Arturo Sosa, presided over the installation of the new rector, Fr Antonio Allende, SJ.
During the ceremony, Fr Sosa, who is also the Grand Chancellor of the university, welcomed the new rector and acknowledged his availability “for taking on this challenge and placing his leadership skills at the service of a complex and challenging apostolic institution”. He noted Fr Allende’s qualities, noting that “his personal gifts, his experience and broad apostolic vision will be a rich contribution to the life and development of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas”.
Father General also thanked the outgoing rector, Fr Enrique Sanz, SJ for “his work and very complete personal dedication during these years in which he has demonstrated his total availability to the task entrusted to him”.
