In times of war: Christmas meditation from Lebanon

As we continue our Advent journey in preparation for Christmas, we are confronted with the harsh realities of war and destruction, poverty and hunger, injustice and power struggles. In the face of such horror, we often struggle to make sense of it all, and at times, finding meaning seems impossible.

Today, we share the testimony of Reverend Father Jad Chebly SJ (in English), a beautiful reflection from Lebanon that guides us to seek answers to the many “whys” that crowd our minds. His meditation helps us discover how faith can persist and even deepen amidst desolation.
