COVID as a force for conversion?
How can we respond to Pope Francis’ invitation to create a ‘new normal’? What is the impact of COVID on our world order? How can we resist the temptation to try to put all the pieces back together as they were?
These were some of the questions considered at recent meetings of the Council of Father General. The Council members worked with the authors of the book Nella fine è l’inizio (In the End there is the Beginning) by Mauro Magatti and Chiara Giaccardi. They also welcomed the input of Dominic Chai, a Jesuit scholastic on internship (his “regency” in Ignatian terms) with the Vatican COVID-19 commission.
