Heaven’s Heart – First Sight

From the “Corridor of Father General” series of artwork, here is “First Sight”.

He stares at us while his family is stressed and worried at the train station in Lviv, Ukraine. Blindness and sight, darkness and light are metaphors Christ often used to describe the spiritual realm. This piece bears the seal of the Society of Jesus, signifying that the name of Jesus is embedded in all those who suffer in this world.
