Appointment of New Provincial for Central American Province
Father General Arturo Sosa has appointed Fr Leopoldo Eugenio Galdámez Lara as the new Provincial of the Central American Province.
Born in 1967 in El Salvador, Father Galdámez entered the Society in 1991. He holds a degree in Philosophy and Theology from the José Simeón Cañas Central American University (UCA) in El Salvador, a degree in Spiritual Theology, and a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy from the Pontifical University of Comillas in Madrid, Spain.
He currently serves as the Superior of the El Carmen Residence and also as a consultant, admonitor and Socius of the Provincial in El Salvador.
Fr Galdámez will assume office at a date that is still to be determined.
