The sky is brightening; it is the dawn of a new day

With our fears and doubts, in a world where a pandemic has created uncertainty, let us be inspired by the courage of the women disciples of Jesus who went to the tomb on Easter morning.

Let us remember that women were the first to bear witness to the event that binds us together in faith. The anticipated obstacle of the heavy stone did not hold them back; their love guided them; their lives were forever marked by the encounter with the One who is a sign of Life. The profound joy did not make the vicissitudes of daily life disappear, but it allowed them to “see all things new” - which is what the Ignatian Year, which will soon begin, invites us to experience.

With Mary of Magdala, Mary, mother of James and Salome, let us walk towards the tomb and see the dawn that is breaking - even in the time of Covid-19.

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

Because He lives
I can face tomorrow
Because He lives
Every fear is gone
I know He holds my life my future in His hands

HAPPY EASTER!
