Faith in conflicts or conflicts of faith

By Carla Bellone, Assistant to the Secretary for the Service of the Faith

Inspired by St Ignatius’ “Finding God in all things” teaching, we decided to explore how faith is lived out today, in a world torn by fratricidal conflicts and devastating climate change.

We asked ourselves, “What language does faith speak in everyday reality? How can we help young people approach faith and find answers in the Gospel to the great existential doubts that too often plague the younger generation?”

We are pleased to share the first testimony we received (in Italian*): it comes from Mozambique and clearly conveys how faith is the basis of a mission to serve the poorest. In the coming weeks, you will be able to read, reflect and pray guided by other very profound testimonies we have received and which will be published shortly.

* Testimonies will be published on the website of the Secretariat for the Service of Faith in the original language they were written.
