Father General Arturo Sosa has appointed Fr. Thomas Amirtham Provincial of the Madurai (MDU) Province. Born on 25 May 1964, Fr. Amirtham entered the Society of Jesus on 5 July 1984, was ordained a priest on 19 November 1994, and pronounced his Final Vows on 29 April 2005.

Let us pray that ecclesial movements and groups may daily rediscover their evangelizing mission, and that they place their own charisms at the service of the world’s needs.

In just a few days, the Congregation of Procurators will begin in Loyola, Spain and over 100 Jesuits from every continent will take part. A key moment will be the presentation of the De Statu Societatis by Fr. General, Arturo Sosa.
